Full Day Bordeaux
Paris Prelude offers a private driver and guide to explore the crème de la crème highlights of the region. To expedite the experience with less time driving in a vehicle and more time enjoying quality visits, we combine a 1st class speed train (TGV) direct to the city of Bordeaux where your guide will meet you at your train and share with you an authentic adventure of the region by private vehicle. We will start our visit in the 'Quartier Saint Eloi', one of the most picturesque districts in Bordeaux, walking along the Victor Hugo street to explore the charm of 'Porte Bourgogne' and splendid gothic cathedrals and 18th century mansions. On this Photographic Tour we will show you the important monuments of our city and visit the Bordeaux wine museum "Musée des Chartrons". After stretching our legs we will resume our tour by private car to Chateau Mouton Rothschild, about 30 miles to the north of Bordeaux. This former home of the Baron Phillipe de Rothschild offers a superb collection of tapestries and sculptures, as well as a museum of art housed in a former wine cellar. The subject matter of many of the works of art depicts what else? – the cultivation of the grape. We will enjoy a lovely lunch with wine during this tour and stop at the Masion du Vin (House of Wine) for great bargains for those who wish to share a bottle on the TGV trip back to Paris!
